Loreal Go 360 Clean Deep Exfoliating Scrub Cleaner

I purchased another new cleanser. There were two reasons why I made this purchase. First, I had a 25% coupon at my local CVS. And second, I always wanted to try the "Scrublet" or the soft cleansing disk that it comes with. I've purchased a cleaning disk once at a Sephora. This called it the Precision Pore Cleansing Pad and it cost $5 and it doesn't come with a cleaner.I ended up returning it. So the two disks or cleansing pads look identical so I thought it was a deal with the one at CVS actually comes with a cleanser. The L’Orealscrub was $5.49 and I got that with the 25% discount. What a deal.

The Go 360 Clean Deep Exfoliating Scrub Cleaner claims to make your pores smaller. Give you a deeper cleansing. It makes your skin softer by sweeping away dead skin cells. And is easy to use with the Scrublet that it comes with.

The scrub has tiny apricot beads in it. It smells like apricots and mangoes  .Love the scent. So first you need to get the scrublet out of the bottle. Wet it and your face. Pour product onto the scrublet and then cleans your face. And what I love about the scrublet you can stick it on your mirror or shower walls and it stays for your next use. So convenient. You don't need to find a place to dry it. Just stick it to air dry and it doesn't even take up space.

One thing I don't like about it is I find this product isn't exfoliating enough unless you use it with that scrubber. Also the product seems to leave a film on your face. You have to really wash, rinse, and rub down your face. I feel like this is something have to use in your shower and not over your sink because the product would not wash off as well.  But if needed I would still rebuy this product.

So anyone out there tried this product? What are some of your pro and cons?

Bath and Body Work Candles Haul

I know this isn't really beauty related but I did purchase these items at a beauty store. So I would like to post what I had purchased at Bath and Body Works yesterday.

As most of you know the fall items are now out. And for a limited time Bath and Body Works has the big candles (14.5oz three wicks) are 2 for $20. The big three wick candles original price is $19.50 each. So that's like a buy one get one free sale. How can anyone pass that up? I never really purchased any candles from them before. I usually get the mini candles free with purchases or coupons. So I was anxious to try one of their big ones. And I also LOVE their fall scents.

All these candles are made in the USA by a company called Slatkin & Co.Each of these large candles should last around 30-45 hours.

These are the candles I purchased:

1) Autumn Day - A pretty green candle. It smells very fresh...It has a woody and citrus smell to it. I just love it and had to buy it.

Jar Description: A crisp, autumn medley celebrating the changing seasons and the beauty of the harvest with note of fresh cut cedar, juicy fig and sandwood.

2) Pumpkin Carmel Latte - A caramel color candle. And it's fall...so how can you not buy something with pumpkin in it? I also LOVE caramel so this was actually one of my favorites. This would be a great scent to leave in my kitchen.

Jar Description: Gather with friends and celebrate the season with this warm, rich blend of creamy pumpkin, spiced caramel and sweet cream.

3) Cider Lane - A light brown candle. This one reminds me of fall. It has a cinnamon scent and also a little of caramel.  And how can I pass up on another caramel scented candle right?  This candle is another great scent for the kitchen and living area.

Jar Description: As sweet as the trip to the local apple orchard each year,a delicious fall blend of mulled cider, warm caramel and sweet cinnamon.

4) Mahogany Teakwood - A cream color candle. This candle is part of the White Barn collection so it has a golden lid. This candle reminds me of men's cologne or an Abercrombie store. Just love this scent too. And since this is the only scent that doesn't smell sweet like food I'll be using this in my bedroom and bathroom areas.

Website description (currently using candle now so I can't look up the description on the jar at this time): Revel in the cozy fine woods fragrances of mahogany, cedar wood and oak, highlighted by delicate lavender and geranium notes.

There so many other scents that I wanted to get but I know the four I have would last me for a while since I do not burn candles that often. The other fall scents I also like are the Cranberry Woods (which I do have a small mini of), the Cinnamon Sugared Donut, and the Farmstand Apple.

So anyone interested in purchasing these 3-wicked candles go head over to a Bath and Body Works now. I believe this sale ends this week. And let me know what some favorites that you guys have this fall are.

Bath and Body Antibacterial Pocketbacs

Have anyone wonder how long you can keep these Bath and Body Pocketbacs? Do they have expiration dates?

I was cleaning out my bathroom and I found 10 bottles lying around. I was wondering whether to throw them out or not. I feel like it’s such a waste if I did...probably paid around $1 each. I know Purells do have expiration listed on their bottles and was surprised that there's nothing listed on the Bath and Body ones.

There wasn't much information online so I decided to write Bath and Body Works directly. See my email below:

To: customerservice@bathandbodyworks.com

Subject: Product Questions

Order Number:

Name: --------------

Phone Number: -----------

Wrote: The antibacterial pocketbac...do they expire? Because I know Purell products does. Please let me know because it turns out I have a lot stored away and I want to make sure they are still good to use.

I got a response three hours later. Not bad...they wrote me this email below:

Dear San,

The best way to figure out how long your product will last is to determine when your product was born. Figuring out the date that our products are born can be a bit tricky.

The born on date is located on the bottom of the bottle, on the label or top of the tube depending on the product. This set of numbers will look like the following: 1041T2A1.

You will only need the first 4 numbers to determine the born on date. Using a born on date of 1041T2A1, you can see the year this product was born, 2011, because the first number in the series is a number 1.

The following 3 numbers will tell you the day of the year this product was produced, in this case the 41st day of 2011, which is February 16th. Your product will be good unopened for 2 years after the date it was born.

If you have any other questions please reply to this email or give us a call at 1-800-756-5005.

Sincerely,

Courtney H.

It's funny how they use such a date system. This shows that they do not want customers to know when they expire. So they can probably try to sell their old products too. Please make sure next time you buy more Pocketbacs to check how much shelf life left in the items before buying. Because if they are old and expired it’s not going to kill any of the germs out there that's going to get you sick. Especially with flu season is coming you need to be careful.

e.l.f. Nail Polish - Python collection limited edition at Target

Target has been selling e.l.f. items for a while now. For those who are not familiarwith e.l.f. Cosmetics...e.l.f. stands for ears, lips, and face. They are aninternational cosmetics brand based in New York City. All of their items arevery affordable and most of their products range from $1-$5. Their itemsinclude make-up, skin care, and beauty tools.

So while shopping at a Target, I found the new e.l.f. fall 2012 line.Everything on display had a snake skin print on it. The item I was mostinterested in for course was the polishes. I saw around 5 different shades ondisplay that day. There might be more out there that I'm not aware of. I apologizebut I don't have the names of the colors. For some reason they decided not toput names on the bottles. They are also in new bottles. The bottle for thispartial line is a short cylinder shaped with black and gold snake skin print onthe cap. It’s a very pretty look for this fall line.

Most of the colors were too dark for me so I picked the only light color inthis collection which is a very pretty nude color. Application was very easy. Idid use two coats thought. One coat was too thin and it was very streaky. Thenail polish brush was a little on the stiff side too but for a polish that costonly $2 I really shouldn't complain.

For those who haven't seen the items yet go and get them out. I don't thinke.l.f. had posted items on their website yet.

Anyone who tried anything from the Python collection please let me know howyou feel about them.

Kamipita vs. Softies' Velcro Hair Bows

Have any of you seen those Kamipita Velcro hair bows out there on the web? They are very cute bows...kind of like the Minnie Mouse or Hello Kitty bows.  You would place them on your head and they help hold back your hair for when you're doing your makeup or washing your face. They have a Velcro backing so there's no need to tie or clip up your hair. It prevents you from bending your hair and it's also easy for little children to use.

To purchase the Kamipita bows you would either have to buy from places like EBay, Amazon, or International sites.  Paying for the product and plus shipping could be expensive. I thought they are so cute and because of the shipping prices I never got a chance to buy one.

So I was very excited when I found these Velcro bows at Target. The bows are called Softies. The bows are smaller in size but I'm sure they would still work the same. One pack of two bows cost $4.99. They come in different shapes; bows, hearts, flowers, and starts. They come in colors of purple, pink, silver, gold, and blue. There were very cute and I've always wanted to try these Velcro bows so I brought a set.

This is the set I purchased.  I just love the gold star.

The back of the package has instructions on how to use the bows.

Steps:
1) Secure to style by simply sticking Softies' no-clip grips to your hair.
2) To remove gently slide the Softies' no-clip grips down through your hair.  Gently wiggle Softies out of secure ponytail or braided styles.

You can see the Velcro back of the clip below.

Package of the Softies' says it works best with straight and wavy hair types.
The clips are very easy to use. But I recommend when taking these clips off to slide them down through your hair, like if you were brushing or combing your hair. If you have your hair tied up and you try to wiggle clip out...don't...It hurts because hair gets pulled and it also messes up your hair style.
I guess even with that down side I will still recommend these Velcro hair bows. They are cheap, cute, and just simple to put on. And don't forget...they are easier to get a hold of compared to those Kamipita hair bows. Just make sure you help your kids when removing the Softies' so they don't end up pulling out their hairs.
So anyone else out there try these Kamipita or Softies' hair bows? Let me know what you guys think of them.

EOS Inspired Alice in Wonderland Lip Balm

I almost brought more lip balm today. As you know I fell in love with my Strawberry Sorbet EOS lip balm... And when I saw these new (I think they are new) flavors I got so excited.

I found this set at a Target. For $7.99. This makes them under $2.70 each. This is a great price. Usually they are around $3-$5 each. The three are Blueberry Potion, Watermelon Wonderland, and Sweet Vanilla Nonsense.

The EOS lip balms are all natural, 95% organic, paraben-free, has Shea butter, and Jojoba oil. All good stuff. Who wouldn't want one of these?

Great gift set for the upcoming holidays. Maybe next time I'll stop by Target and I'll grab a set.

Anyone out there tried these EOS flavors yet? How you guys like them? Let me know. :)

My Daily Face Washes - Lancôme Mousse Radiance face wash and Neutrogena Ultra Gentle Daily Cleanser

I've finally finished using my Lancôme Mousse Radiance face wash. It's a clarifying self-foaming cleanser. It's a huge bottle and it lasted me a little over a year. This face wash is very air-light, smooth and gentle. I use one pump for each wash. It creates a great lather that leaves skin feeling fresh and clean. It gets rid of the extra oils I have on my skin and it doesn't dry it out.
I purchased this bottle at a Lancôme counter for $32. It's a good price for this product and I will purchase it again.

The form!

I wanted to wait for the free gifts promotions at Lancôme before repurchasing the product. So I ended getting something cheap at a local CVS. I got the Neutrogena Ultra Gentle Daily Cleanser. It was $10.
This was also a foaming cleaner but when you pump out the cleanser it comes out as a gel substance. It strong enough to remove my makeup, excess oil and dirt, and it doesn't dry or irritate my skin. I noticed my pores has cleared up a lot too when I started using this wash. I really like this wash and I will also repurchase this wash again.

Anyone used these two face cleaners? How you guys like them? Any other recommendations people have out there that they would like me to try too? I'm looking for something for oily to normal skin types.

Newspaper Manicure

Have anyone out there seen these cute newspaper manicures? Turns out they are very easy to create. I apologize that the one done below is a little bit messy since we didn't do a quick clean up.

So to get started there are the things you need:
Nail polish remover
Rubbing alcohol
Nail Polish - Base Color
Nail Polish clear coat
Newspaper
Q-tips

Steps to creating your own Newspaper Manicure:
1) Apply a solid color base coat. We used the color green. Make sure the polish dries completely.
2) Cut small pieces of newspaper.
3) Soak your finger nail in rubbing alcohol for 5 seconds.
4) Quickly place a piece of newspaper clipping on your nail you have just dipped in the rubbing alcohol. Push it firmly down on nail for a few seconds.
5) Carefully peel off newspaper. The nail should now have an imprint of the ink from the newspaper.
6) Use a Q-tip and nail polish remover to clean up your nail
7) Apply a clear top coat. This will prevent the ink from the newspaper to get rubbed off.
8) Repeat steps above for the rest of your nails.

This manicure is very cute and is easy to create. Why don't you guys all try it out and let me know how it turns out.

My Scheming - Deep Ocean Water Saccharide Isomerate Mask

This mask came in a sample or tester box of 7 different masks.  The set was called "My Scheming 7 Days Hydrating Mask Set (7 piece)".  I purchase this set on sasa.com for $8.60.

Front

Back

Ingredients
This was the first My Scheming masks I've used. From the sample box of 7 I happened to pick this one first, for no particular reason. First thing I have to say is this mask reminds me of the My Beauty Diary line masks. Both have very cute packaging and both have similar masks quality.

For who can't see what I had written on the back of the package here's a type up version below.

Description on box: The deep sea water is extracted from the deep ocean water which is under 800-ft sea level with negative pressure. The deep ocean water involves 60 minerals and microelements, which sizes are similar to the water in our body. Therefore, it is easy to be absorbed by our skin and promote metabolism. The nutrients of the mask penetrate into and be sunk by skin. It has good effects on maintaining long-term skin moisture, activating skin, and give you a pure and jade-like skin with brightness and lightness.

Ingredients: Deep ocean water, xanthan gum, 1-3 butylene gylcol, glycerin, cucumber extract, allantoin, dipotassium glycyrrhetinante, sodium hyaluronate, sodium pca, methyl parabenm sorbeth-30, methlysothiazolinone, perfume.

Directions: After cleansing, remove pearl paper and place the mask over your face. Press it lightly onto your face. Leave on for about 15-20 minutes. Remove the mask. Pat and leave for essence absorption.

I like how there's actually ENGLISH on this packaging. You know exactly what you're using and how to use the masks. Unlike the My Beauty Diary masks EVERYTHING is in Chinese.

There was really no scent for this mask. I used masked for 30 minutes. This mask was very moisturizing. It was very cooling and relaxing too. There was TONS of essence left over too. So of course all essence is massaged onto my neck and arms. And one thing I want to note is this mask is a little thinner than the My Beauty Diary Mask.

Inside - Lots of essence
